Join Perennial Wellness for a complete Kombucha Workshop brought to you by Heather Dexter, ND.

Kombucha has been consumed for thousands of years and is a fermented probiotic drink. It is made from tea, sugar, a SCOBY and a starter from a previous batch (you will need a starter kit to start brewing kombucha).

The sugar and caffeine is used all up in the fermentation process so don’t worry, it has very little (if any) caffeine or sugar in the final product.

A SCOBY is an acronym for symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast. In short, it’s beneficial bacteria and yeasts that work synergistically together to produce a certain type of ferment.

Kombucha is brewed (or fermented) over a course of 7-31 days. The final product is naturally carbonated making this a fizzy and tasty drink.

This workshop will walk you through the process of making kombucha from start to finish. You will leave with a complete understanding of how this fermented tea nourishes and supports the body as a whole. After leaving this Workshop you will feel very comfortable with making it on your own.

What you receive as a part of the workshop package; a written description on the origin history and benefits of Kombucha, recipes including a variety of flavors and techniques for flavoring, a SCOBY for making an unlimited supply of your own kombucha at home, 1/2 gallon of unflavored Kombucha, 1-16 ounce Kombucha flavors to your liking and a support group of fellow Kombucha makers.
